Yes I know it's been a while since I have posted. Now that work is so busy I have found this hard to update and post new stuff. When work was slow I would just post in the morning waiting for work to call me in.
As I write about work I have to explain how in the past month more patients have died than any other month I have worked in 5 years. Yup I have been doing dialysis for 5 years now, supposedly that makes me a professional, blah whatever. In 5 years I have only had 2 patients die during dialysis, this past month alone there has been four deaths. Two where on the machine the other two where when I was nearby but helped with the code doing cpr, needle sticks, and whatever was needed. My black hand of death has all the nurses running from me... We have just been really busy and have seen some really sick people. People that die during dialysis or that are recieving dialysis regularly have other issues such as organ failure, ie lung, heart, liver failure. These happen to complicate the dialysis process with various tests, scans, operations, and not being able to tolerate any sort of dialysis. So if you have kidney failure keep me away!!!
A late update of our holiday season. To be honest the month of December is my least favorite of all the months. I have way too much past history that has occured in this month that I wish to forget, but can't because it has effected me to this day(positive effects, but effects nontheless). All in all it was fun to watch the Kids opening their gifts and seeing the excitement when those gifts where unwrapped. Eli being his first Christmas enjoyed the wrapping paper more than the new noise elevating toys. We where nominated by Julies family to have a paty for her family at our house. I had a great excuse to use my new charcoal bbq and bbq'd ribs, dogs, and some tenderloins. Since this is a new grill I overcooked everything, not yet use to the finesse way the charcoals work. I redeemed myself this past weekend though with the juiciest tenderloin ever, oooh so good. (wipes drool). Back to writing this... 2008 was a good year. It's amazing to me that every year that passes time goes so much faster. Time has seemed to have sped up over time, just plain crazy.
Our goals and plans for 2009 look even more exciting than previous years. We are planning a trip to Yellowstone in May, we are planning what to do with tax returns, more fishing, and more activities to do as a family. Jacob and Emily are getting bigger so some more options are available as we plan our upcoming year.
I am writing this from work, so when I get home I will update with pics taken yesterday.

My Fallacy
I have opted to refrain from commenting on the current election results hoping that I would be able to communicate effectively my feelings. Well, I think I may fail in doing this because I have a difficult time communicating all that is on my mind and getting my point across. Also my emotions are still high about our Pres-Elect. I also know that some who read this blog will not like what I have to say, so I apologize in advance, I still consider you all my friends. As a side note I have been working a ton more hours- Finally- so I haven't been able to post as much.
On Nov 4 I awoke at 5:15 am to arrive at the polling location(my daughter's elementary school) and arrived to happy faces. I have been a Poll manager ever since the last presidential election and have quite enjoyed it. I find it interesting the way people vote in my precinct because it is actually very balanced when it comes to Democrats and Republicans. This being the third election of this year we had a well oiled machine processing voters and making things as enjoyable as possible. The longest line was in the morning with people trying to get a head start trying to beat the lines, when in fact they had the longest line. I found this to be a funny irony. No problems arose during the rest of the day, I got to vote when it got slow. This is the first time for me to not vote for a republican, ya shocking I know. By principle alone I just couldn't vote for McCain because he was in favor of the bailout plan. What a fool our government is to effect our children and us with more debt. How does it make sense to try to get rid of debt by creating more debt? Hey I need a bailout, just give me the 2 trillion in bailout monies I would be way more effective than our government. Yes the total is almost 2 trillion with the bail out package and other individual bailouts, and who is going to pay for it we are, well our kids are.
Enough about the economy, so who did I vote for? Not Hussein Obama. This pic should tell you my feelings about him. I voted Libertarian.

Ya I don't like what BO has had to say, the policies he wants to implement, and the freedoms he is going to be taking away. Have you seen the movie V for Vendetta? That movie very well portrays the potential BO has with democrat control of White house, Senate, and Congress. One word summary, scary.

On Facebook I was invited to join this group that is very interesting. I am not going to cut and paste what is written because this post would be forever long, but please read this, America's Last Acceptable Prejudice.
That should do for now for politics, I'll post some family stuff laters!

Tiger Trout
On Thursday I went to Huntington Reservoir with the goal of catching a tiger trout, I have yet to catch one. Got up at 4am and went to a friends house by 5am to meet up. On the road to pick up another friend, then we where on our way, which turned out to be a 2 hour drive. Got there as the sun rose above the surrounding mountains. On the water by 8am on friends boat and started looking for the fishes using the fish finder. Well NOTHING was showing up on the fish finder, which was weird. So we decided to slow troll to see if that would work since we couldn't find the schools to start jigging to. Well trolling turned out to be for the best, after 15 minutes fish on yahoo! my first tiger trout 14 inch. The hardest fighting trout and was a blast to catch. I ended up catching 5 or 6, ranging from 13-15 inches, trolling using a Lucky Craft Pointer lure, my most expensive lure but glad I had it. I caught one that had an orange belly, the colors where way cool. This was an awesome day, perfect weather, clean air, great company, and we where catching fish. As we where about to land the boat a fish "boil" happen to occur near the ramp. A boil is when a group of schooling fish are feeding aggressively causing the water to turn looking like the water is boiling. We then decided to fish some more, well I got a night crawler on and stated catching 8-10 inch tiger trout left and right. They where small frisky fish, but fun. I was glad to make one last fishing trip before the lakes start freezing the next few weeks.
